The property manager, Peter Nikic, posted a picture of three of the four birds taken by him over the weekend at the facility in Dutchess.

"I've got peacocks on my property in Millbrook, who wants them?" read a Tweet by property manager Peter Nikic.

"Originally there were five of them and one seems to have disappeared so now there's four but over the weekend I saw only three," Nikic said. "They wandered on to the property and stayed there for a few months. They seem to have made themselves comfortable."

He said some tenants at the 24-unit complex seem to like the peacocks and others do not because they make a mess.
